Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Cath Lab specialist to assist cardiologists during invasive diagnostic and interventional cardiac/vascular procedures, including EP workups. You will set up and operate imaging and monitoring equipment, manage sedation, and ensure strict aseptic technique.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with the research team. The ideal candidate has Radiologic Technology certification, BLS, ACLS within 1 year, and ARRT registration.

Qualifications

• Licensed BLS Provider (AHA)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (Radiography)
• ACLS within 1 year (AHA)
• ARRT Registered in Radiography

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists in invasive coronary/vascular/EP procedures using specialized techniques.
• Set up and operate electrophysiology and imaging equipment.
• Demonstrate competence in moderate sedation administration and protocol.
• Analyze hemodynamics and cardiac anatomy during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and prepare sterile field for each case.
• Assist in device selection and catheter handling during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team during procedures.
• Collaborate with research staff for laboratory-based studies.
• Document procedures, results, and any complications accurately.
• Ensure equipment safety, maintenance, and timely reporting of malfunctions.
