Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio welcomes a Cardiac Cath Lab Invasive Specialist to support complex catheterization procedures and patient care. You will assist physicians, ensure accurate data collection, and maintain stringent radiation safety standards.

Required: ARRT RCIS/RCES eligibility or equivalent, and training in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology. This full-time position provides extensive benefits and growth within a top cardiovascular program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of invasive cardiovascular technology experience or equivalent as of 6/1/2013.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
• One of the following certifications: RCIS or RCES eligible and pass RCIS/RCES exam within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in all cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Identifies cardiac structures and disease processes.
• Practices ALARA radiation safety and adheres to regulatory requirements.
• Assists physicians with data entry and interpretation of physiologic monitoring.
• Maintains and archives procedure data for long-term storage.
