Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab. You will assist with monitor duties, scrub and circulator roles, and operate imaging equipment under physician supervision.

The position requires RCIS certification within six months, ACLS, and ARRT/TX RT(R) credentials in lieu of RCIS, with days Monday–Friday and a 10X4 shift pattern in the United States.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
• RCIS certified within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsabilités

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during procedures in the cath lab by interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under direction of physician.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures as a circulator by monitoring patient status and handling supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab and maintains sterile technique.
