Job summary

The Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel is seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager to drive banquet and event revenue. You will solicit new and existing accounts, quote rates, prepare Banquet Event Orders, and coordinate with the operations team to deliver exceptional events.

Applicants should have hospitality sales experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality sales and catering sales.
• Ability to book catering business and detail events.
• Experience selling to the social market.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to maximize revenue.
• Ability to quote rates and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Excellent communication with hotel departments and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work weekends or events.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals through calls, emails, outside sales, and site inspections.
• Book new catering business and detail events.
• Sell to social market segments and coordinate with operations for events.
• Develop and execute plans to maximize revenue; grow client relationships.
• Quote rates and availability; coordinate BEOs with revenue management for pricing.
• Communicate with all hotel departments; set up and execute events as needed.
• Collaborate with external caterers and vendors; log activities in the sales system.
