Placements24 is seeking a driven Catering Sales and Events Manager to join our client’s team in Welkom, Free State. You will generate new business, manage client relationships, and oversee planning and execution of catering events.

You will develop sales strategies, create proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction from inquiry to final event. The role offers diverse client engagements, exposure to a dynamic team, and opportunities to advance within the catering division.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in sales, event management, or related catering/hospitality.
• Proven sales track record meeting/exceeding targets.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Negotiation and contract management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new catering leads and build a sales pipeline.
• Develop and present customized catering proposals and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts and service agreements with clients.
• Serve as main contact for clients during planning and execution.
• Coordinate with culinary and operations teams for seamless events.
• Manage event logistics: timelines, staffing, menus, venues.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback.
• Monitor market trends in Welkom area.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
