Job summary

The Hoya Hotel at Georgetown, operated by Crestline Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to sell, plan, and oversee all hotel events. The role focuses on social catering, client servicing, lead development, and ensuring flawless execution of weddings and banquets.

Responsibilities include contract negotiation, detailed event planning, budget awareness, and coordination with the Executive Chef and Conference Services to ensure successful outcomes and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2–5 years of hotel/conference center sales experience.
• Ability to coordinate wedding ceremonies and receptions.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with standard software tools.

Responsibilities

• Sell social catering events, service accounts, develop and follow up on leads for assigned markets.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and banquet event orders (BEO) by meeting with and/or telephoning clients.
• Plan and detail each event booked; oversee the entire function.
• Anticipate or respond to group problems and provide solutions.
• Prepare specialized reports as needed.
• Monitor budgeted revenue goals and assist in planning actions to generate business.
• Ensure guest checks, payments, master folios, and deposits are submitted to accounting.
• Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote the property.
• Communicate with Executive Chef, Banquets, and Conference Services regarding changes to setup and final counts.
• Engage with associations to aid continuing education and future business.
