Job summary

Air Culinaire Worldwide in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Prep Cook to join our on-site kitchen team. The role focuses on preparing hot and cold menu items for catering orders, following established recipes and Air Culinaire prep methods.

The Prep Cook will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure highest quality, safety, and presentation. Candidates should have culinary experience, a ServSafe certificate, and a strong team mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels or catering is required; familiarity with catering operations preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to take orders and follow through in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Must maintain high standards of food quality, safety and HACCP compliance.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce top quality hot and cold items including salads, sandwiches, canapés, desserts and sauces according to Air Culinaire preparation methods.
• Work with Garde Manger team and Lead Cooks to prioritize orders and ensure ingredient freshness and accuracy in preparation.
• Support kitchen operations, sanitation and labeling, with attention to proper packaging and documentation.
• Assist in ordering, inventory and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
• Provide feedback to Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to improve quality and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures related to customer satisfaction, safety and cost.
