Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering operations, food service management, or a supervisory role in hospitality.
• Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and staff interaction.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing operational demands.
• Basic understanding of inventory management and cost control principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
• Must be based in or willing to commute to Welkom , Free State .
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily catering operations, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to all client sites.
• Manage and schedule catering staff, including cooks, servers, and delivery personnel, ensuring adequate coverage.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.
• Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment, placing orders as needed and minimizing waste.
• Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities and service areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
• Liaise with clients to address any operational concerns or special requests, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in the training and development of catering staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Oversee the preparation, packing, and delivery of meals to various locations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues that may arise during service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records related to inventory, staff performance, and operational costs.
