Flik Hospitality Group in New York is seeking a Catering Manager to oversee daily catering operations, lead a high-performing team, and ensure flawless events.

Qualifications

• Two years of food service experience with at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Catering experience is required.
• Experience in corporate dining, restaurants, hotels, higher education, healthcare, or similar hospitality environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of catering operations, event logistics, food production, sanitation and cost controls.
• Experience managing budgets, labor, and event expenses.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities while delivering excellent service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of catering events with exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee event setup, service, breakdown and daily catering operations.
• Supervise, train and develop catering associates and temporary staff.
• Collaborate with culinary leadership to design menus and ensure food quality and presentation.
• Manage event logistics, staffing, scheduling and operational needs.
• Monitor labor, food costs and event expenses while meeting budget goals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through communication and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and operating standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and catering performance.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
