Job summary

Flik Hospitality, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Catering Coordinator to support our catering and events team with event planning, client communication, and daily operational coordination. You will work closely with clients, culinary teams, and event staff to ensure events run smoothly from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, catering, event coordination, or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with web-based catering or ordering systems preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills, including professional client correspondence.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business and event needs.
• Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and execution of catering events, meetings, and special functions.
• Serve as primary client contact for inquiries, event requests, and catering needs.
• Communicate professionally with clients, culinary teams, and internal departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Manage catering orders, menu updates, client profiles, and event changes through web-based ordering systems.
• Assist with event scheduling, logistics, setup, and service coordination.
• Provide onsite support during special events to ensure client expectations are met.
• Maintain accurate event details and communicate updates to appropriate teams.
• Build strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and timely communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve event coordination, efficiency, and the overall guest experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
