Join to apply for the Catering Lead role at Corner Bakery

The Catering Lead supervises total catering operations in one unit. This position includes duties such as catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, and the general cleanliness and organization of the Catering Department. The Catering Supervisor works with outside customers and directly communicates with guests daily.

As the Catering Supervisor, you will supervise the preparation, presentation, and service of our food. The catering supervisor interacts closely with catering and retail employees as well as the restaurant managers.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Accepts and modifies orders over the phone using POS.
  2. Enters online orders into POS.
  3. Resolves guest concerns with manager approval.
  4. Assigns deliveries to catering employees.
  5. Begins and completes baking/food preparation.
  6. Assembles catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls.
  7. Makes deliveries by vehicle and/or foot.
  8. Responsible for breakfast and lunch preparation.
  9. Responsible for clean-up duties.
  10. Empties trash as required.
  11. Distributes catering tips daily.
  12. Executes Catering Sales Initiatives, including daily customer call backs, menu drops, community event coordination, menu presentations, and food tastings.
  13. Identifies sales leads through active territory canvassing, e.g., cold calling.
  14. Secondary functions include expo duties, cashier, dishwasher, and line cook.
Highlighted Tasks
  • Maintains abundant FOH displays and condiment stations.
  • Checks bathrooms.
  • Busses tables.
  • Prepares food to specifications and order requests.
  • Maintains accurate cash flow and integrity of financial transactions.
  • Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent or in process of completing same.
  • Must complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR according to CBC standards, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance.
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
  • Preferably a minimum of 3 months work experience in guest service, restaurant, or retail environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Proficient in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
