Job summary

Oak View Group seeks an Events Sales Assistant in Texas to support the Events Sales Director in coordinating catering sales and event planning. You will develop quality leads, solicit new catering business, and help plan and coordinate events while delivering top customer service.

The position is part-time with an hourly rate of $15.00–$19.00 and benefits such as 401(k) savings and matching. The role requires an associate degree and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer proficiency: e-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends, as required), depending upon event and business requirements.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and facilitating the logistics of events.
• Ensure timely and accurate event information.
• Detail the event for client approval and internal communication.
• Maintain communication with the events team to ensure a flawless event.
• Coordinate effectively with other departments, including Operations, Catering Sales, and Membership.
