Job summary

Oak View Group, based in the Charleston Gaillard Center in South Carolina, seeks a Catering Sales Manager to drive outside catering sales and manage full group operations from inquiry to final event. You will coordinate with culinary, F&B, and events teams to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes developing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering compelling catering proposals, with a base pay range and eligibility for commission.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in a sales role in hospitality or events.
• Demonstrated proficiency in catering sales generation, contract negotiation and pricing.
• Experience supporting event planning and menu development.
• Strong communications and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
• Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations.
• Identify and pursue outside networking opportunities and events.
• Negotiate, draft, and submit contracts and BEOs.
• Coordinate catering requirements and respond promptly to client needs.
• Maintain accurate records of catering sales activities.
• Communicate with F&B, culinary, and operations teams.
• Manage client database for follow-ups and re-bookings.
• Assist with guest experience follow-up and event planning.
• Serve as primary contact for groups once contracts are signed.
• Oversee accounts receivable related to events.
