Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a Catering and Retail Manager to lead the Catering Department, supervise events, and coordinate with chefs on menu planning. You will train staff, monitor costs, and ensure top-notch service for campus clients.

The role typically follows a M-F 7am-3:30pm schedule in Downers Grove, IL, with the goal of delivering exceptional catering experiences and managing all event operations.

Qualifications

• As a Catering and Retail Manager, you will oversee the Catering Department and supervise event operations.
• Experience in food service catering with management responsibility is required.
• Strong budgeting, cost controls, and client relationship skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all catering events.
• Involved in catering operations including logistics, sanitation and facility activities.
• Works with the Chef on menu creation.
• Trains associates in service techniques and customer service.
• Tracks labor and food costs per event.
• Maintains client relationships across management and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
