Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed is seeking a Catering Attendant to deliver and serve food at scheduled functions under the catering captain. Responsibilities include setting up, serving, and breaking down events, ensuring accurate execution, and returning leftovers promptly.

The role may involve driving a catering delivery truck, maintaining food temperatures, stocking and cleaning the facility, and providing friendly service to guests. Prior catering/food service experience is preferred and shifts vary.

Qualifications

• 1 year of catering/food service experience.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Food handler's permit and/or alcohol server permit where required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and serves food at scheduled functions under the catering captain.
• Ensures the accurate execution of all events during the shift.
• May drive a catering delivery truck; sets up and serves at functions.
• Cleans the event area during and after events; leaves the area neat.
• Returns leftover food and equipment to the catering facility in a timely manner.
• Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered functions to their scheduled locations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures.
• Arrange tables and decorations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Thoroughly clean location after event is completed.
• Return food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to catering facility.
• Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
• Stock, clean and maintain catering facility and equipment.
• Ensure guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
