Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years in a similar role or catering/events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, calm under pressure and able to adapt to change.
• Passion for great food and hospitality.
• Strong time management and deadline focus.
• Commitment to food and workplace safety.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Union experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs, manages and owns the overall experience, not just the offerings.
• Sets an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and engaging.
• Has a passion for quality food preparation and taste.
• Ensure that all daily catering orders are processed and fulfilled.
• Develops specialty menus and events per client needs and budget.
• Trains, develops and schedules catering associates and coaches performance.
• Conducts employee reviews, coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Ensures compliance with sector and Compass employee guidelines.
• Promotes a culture of food and workplace safety.
• Communicates with our Partner honestly, accurately and timely.
• Meets all timelines for quarterly and year-end reports.
