Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Catering Event Manager to lead on-site execution of full-service catering events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to event details. You will coordinate with culinary, sales, and logistics teams, supervise staff, and act as the main client contact during events.

The role requires 4+ years in hospitality or event management, a valid driver’s license, and flexible availability including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hospitality, catering, or event management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency.
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to attend training through C&J Catering.
• Ability to adapt to last-minute changes and assist teammates as needed.
• Stand/walk for extended periods and work in indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and operate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site lead for assigned events and represent the company professionally.
• Review and execute event details per BEOs, timelines, and floor plans.
• Coordinate event setup, service flow, and breakdown for accurate execution.
• Supervise service staff, bartenders, and support team with professionalism.
• Communicate with culinary, sales, and logistics teams before and after events.
• Manage client expectations and resolve on-site requests or concerns.
• Handle issues calmly during live service and ensure compliance with standards.
• Oversee rental inventory, equipment, and return procedures.
• Complete post-event reports, feedback, and incident documentation.
