The role requires 4+ years in hospitality or event management, a valid driver’s license, and flexible availability including evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

The Catering Event Manager is responsible for the on-site execution of full-service catering events, ensuring exceptional guest experience, adherence to event details, and effective leadership of event staff. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients during events and is empowered to make real-time decisions to ensure success.

• Serve as on-site lead for assigned events, representing the company professionally at all times
• Review and execute all event details per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), timelines, and floor plans
• Coordinate event setup, service flow, and breakdown for event execution accuracy
• Supervise and lead service staff, bartenders, and support team members, encouraging them to perform job duties with the highest degree of professionalism
• Communicate with culinary, sales, and logistics teams before and after events
• Manage client expectations and handle requests or concerns on-site to the client’s satisfaction
• Resolve issues calmly and efficiently during live service
• Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and company standards
• Oversee rental inventory, equipment, and return procedures
• Complete post-event reports, feedback, and incident documentation as required prior to the end of each shift
• Must have and maintain a 5-year clean driving record as well as an active driver’s license
• Must be able to drive fleet vehicles

Requirements

• WORK EXPERIENCE: 4+ years of hospitality, catering, or event management experience
• SKILLS: Ability to manage multiple priorities and have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required
• CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Must have reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license
• LANGUAGE: Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language is required
• RESPONSIBILITY: Must have a professional appearance and demeanor with the highest level of professional interactions and communication at all times
• AVAILABILITY: Must have flexible availability including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• TRAINING: Must attend any training required through C&J Catering
• PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist fellow employees where needed
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time and be able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
• WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: The industry is fast paced environment which as needed may require frequent walking, standing, long hours, the ability to work in high volume environments and lift up to 50 pounds
