Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Director of Catering for Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. This full-time role leads catering activities, manages staff, and coordinates with clients to deliver high-quality events with strong service standards.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of catering management experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to train and supervise a team. The position offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• One to three years of catering management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering team.
• Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule.
• Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and catering billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates catering activities with client representatives.
• Schedule catering staff and distribute workloads.
• Prepare pre-event and post-event checklists.
• Ordering, receiving and inventory of supplies.
• Communicates with General Manager, Chef and other team members to ensure high quality products and service.
• Monitors care and operation of delivery vehicles.
• Drives Van and/or Box truck to or from Events as needed if Driver is unavailable.
• Follow-up on catered events.
• Monitors team member job performance.
• Financial management of catering activities through effective food, labor and supply controls.
• Works with Director of Special Events, Resident Director, General Manager, Client, and others as necessary regarding menu concepts and special events.
• Maintain accurate records of events to assist other team members and plan for future business.
