Job summary

Air Culinaire Worldwide, LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare a wide range of hot and cold dishes for catering orders and to support daily kitchen operations on-site. You will follow established recipes, ensure accuracy in packaging and labeling, and collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management.

The role requires ServSafe certification, knife skills, and solid cooking techniques, with a background in restaurants, hotels, or catering.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Current ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45 days of hire.
• Must have knife/cutting skills.
• Must understand cooking techniques.
• Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering with experience in new culinary trends preferred.
• Ability to take orders and work well in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct new and existing Air Culinaire team members, ensuring food, packaging, labeling, and allergens are accurate.
• Provide feedback to Kitchen Management to improve quality.
• Assist in the butchering of meats and fish and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food preparations and presentations meet ACW specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen; monitor temp-logs and use food safety tools.
• Lead equipment maintenance and guide others in safe use of kitchen equipment.
• Assist in ordering, inventory, and other duties as assigned by the GM.
• Use Shipday for all order logistics and delivery documentation.
