Job summary

Air Culinaire Worldwide in San Jose, CA is seeking a full-time Cook to support catering orders on-site. You will prepare hot foods, salads, canapés, desserts, and cold items according to recipes, while maintaining food quality and safety.

Candidates must have a High School diploma and ServSafe certification; knife skills; ability to work in a fast-paced team; flexibility to work weekends; on-site duties include inventory, labeling, and HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Current ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45 days.
• Must have knife/cutting skills and understanding of cooking techniques.
• Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering companies or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct Air Culinaire team members and ensure food, packaging, labeling, and allergens are accurate.
• Provide feedback to Kitchen Management to monitor and improve quality.
• Assist in butchering meats and fish and support daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food preparations meet ACW specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, sanitized kitchen and monitor temp-logs and use gloves and proper safety tools.
