Job summary

Ohio CAT, a division of Ohio Machinery Co., is seeking a motivated Sales Representative specializing in rental equipment sales for Caterpillar and allied equipment. You will identify opportunities, advise customers with expertise, and close deals that deliver value to both customer and company.

Key responsibilities include territory planning, building strong client relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and maintaining accurate records in Sales Link.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction equipment industry.
• Experience selling/renting construction equipment required.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Rentals sales of Caterpillar equipment and allied equipment.
• Manage territory with strategic planning and execution.
• Build customer relationships with product knowledge and business insight.
• Negotiate deals aligning with customer needs and company goals.
• Maintain records in Sales Link: leads, opportunities, accounts.
• Prepare and deliver quotes, contracts, and delivery records.
• Collaborate with factory reps to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Apply professional sales techniques to overcome objections.
