Job summary

HashHouse a Go Go at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT is seeking an experienced restaurant manager to oversee planning, training and leadership to meet objectives in sales, costs, guest service, and food quality.

You will train staff, ensure standards, manage cash handling, scheduling, and regulatory compliance, while maintaining a positive, productive environment and delivering consistent, high-level service to guests.

Qualifications

• Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant areas.
• Have knowledge of service and food and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions.
• Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS System.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all policies, procedures, standards and training.
• Ensure guests receive welcome, responsive, friendly, courteous service.
• Ensure food/products are prepared and served to recipes and standards.
• Achieve objectives in sales, service, quality, cleanliness and sanitation via training.
• Control cash and receipts per cash handling procedures.
• Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and operations.
• Develop staff through managerial and professional growth.
• Prepare required paperwork and schedules in a timely manner.
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition via inspections and PM programs.
• Receive deliveries correctly and manage receiving procedures.
• Oversee performance appraisals and ongoing policy compliance.
• Schedule labor to meet activity while controlling labor costs.
• Administer fair corrective action for policy violations.
• Comply with health, safety, and labor regulations; maintain Serve Safe certification.
• Provide advice and recommendations to the General Manager as needed.
