Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch Township, MN, is seeking staff for beverage service with starting pay of $11.41 per hour plus tips and an additional $5.00 per hour for Grave shift. You will serve both complimentary and alcoholic beverages to casino guests and maintain cash handling standards.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of beverage server experience, including tray service and POS systems (Micros, NCR).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accountable for providing superior beverage service for designated area offering complimentary and alcoholic refreshments to casino guests
• Assist with supplying and cleaning wait station
• Handle cash and reconcile bank for all alcohol served according to Treasure Island and Hospitality policies
• Utilize and implement TIPS training to prevent and recognize potential alcohol related concerns

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Preferred:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year experience as a food and beverage server familiar with tray service
• 1 year experience with a computerized point-of-sale system (i.e. Micros, NCR)
• Proven knowledge of alcohol service

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel

• Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds routinely
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Office, restaurant, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
• High volume direct public contact
