Job summary

Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Welch Township, MN is seeking a friendly server to welcome guests and provide top-notch service. Greet guests, take and deliver orders, and maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction in a busy dining environment.

Greet guests, take and deliver food and beverage orders, operate the POS system, and maintain cleanliness. You will work in a high-volume restaurant, follow safety and service standards, and support the team with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 6 months Server experience; or 6 months Currents hosting experience
• Previous point-of-sales systems experience
• Previous cash handling experience
• High School Diploma/GED preferred

SUMMARY

To welcome guests and provide superior service. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

• Operate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalents
• Answer questions, provide menu suggestions and offer event and promotional information

• Communicate with coworkers and management to ensure superior service to guests

Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

• 6 months Server experience; or 6 months Currents hosting experience
• Previous point-of-sales systems experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
• Must be able to reach and twist routinely
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds routinely
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed in the restaurant but may require going onto the gaming floor which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
