Job summary

McAlister's Deli in Gallatin, TN is hiring a Cashier/Runner/Busser (full-time or part-time). You’ll be the friendly face welcoming guests and delivering polite, helpful service from entry to exit.

Responsibilities include taking orders and payments, promoting menu items, pre-bussing, running food, and keeping the dining area clean and stocked. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-first environment with flexible scheduling. McAlister's Deli is an equal opportunity employer.

• Welcome guests as they enter and create a positive first impression
• Provide polite, helpful guest service and interact with guests in a friendly, respectful way
• Take counter orders, accept payment, and deliver accurate change
• Promote up-selling by sharing menu suggestions that enhance the guest experience
• Listen and respond to guest questions, resolve concerns when possible, and share notes about suggestions or complaints
• Pre-bus and bus tables to keep dining areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next guest
• Run food quickly and accurately to ensure great timing and presentation
• Wash dishes and help support a clean, organized kitchen and service area
• Assist with the take-out window during high-volume times
• Follow sanitation and safety policies to protect guests, coworkers, and the restaurant
