Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a store associate to deliver a outstanding customer and brand experience in our Phoenix store. You will run the register, process payments, and help keep the sales floor clean and organized.

You will greet customers, assist with donations at the POS, stock shelves, and follow floor standards while upholding the organization’s core values of Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent math skills preferred.
• Ability to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs Point of Sale (POS) responsibilities and processes all forms of payments.
• Asks each customer for cash donations at POS.
• Establishes or identifies prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site leader.
• Completes closing procedures, as necessary.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
• Greets customers that enter in the store and thanks customers leaving the establishment.
• Maintains sales floor by following floorwork and PPM (picture process map) standards.
• Stocks merchandise in appropriate area as assigned.
• Utilizes systems, including phones and paging systems to make regularly scheduled announcements.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Models Goodwill Core Values - Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
