Job summary

ScooterZ eats on 181 in Floresville, TX is seeking a friendly front-of-house team member to join our dining crew. You will greet guests, take orders, enter them into the POS, and process payments, including takeout and delivery orders.

This role requires basic math, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized during busy periods; availability on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected. Prior restaurant or cashier experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and confirm order details.
• Process cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and other accepted payments.
• Follow cash-handling, register, discount, refund, and drawer accountability procedures.
• Answer menu questions and communicate modifications, special requests, and allergy information appropriately.
• Assist with packaging takeout and delivery orders and ensure orders are complete before handoff.
• Maintain a clean, organized register, counter, dining room, beverage station, and other guest areas.
• Restock front-of-house supplies and complete opening, closing, and side work duties.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, handwashing, workplace safety, attendance, appearance, and conduct standards.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen, front-of-house, and management team; involve a manager in guest concerns when appropriate.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned based on restaurant needs.

PHYSICAL & SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Duties may require prolonged standing or walking; bending, reaching, twisting, and repetitive hand movements; and lifting/carrying restaurant supplies. May work around hot food or equipment, cleaning products, and wet or slippery surfaces.
