Job summary

Viega LLC is seeking a Cash Receipts Specialist to perform accounts receivable duties, posting large payments, reconciling bank activity, and assisting with deductions and data entry. You will collaborate with AR specialists on payment issues and ensure accurate posting to ledgers.

The role requires attention to detail, strong Excel and ERP experience, and the ability to work in a team environment. Comprehensive benefits and a discretionary bonus program are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years cash receipts posting experience required.
• Additional college-level courses in mathematics, business, computers and/or accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply daily cash receipts from lockbox, ACHs, wire transfers, live checks and card payments.
• Accurately post deposits to customer accounts and open invoices.
• Record all applied transactions in the Cash Application Log.
• Identify and document deductions (short pays) and overpayments for follow-up by AR team.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, especially without remittance advice, with internal teams.
• Post non-AR cash receipts to the general ledger.
• Daily bank reconciliation of deposits with cash postings.
• Generate and review prior day and current day bank reports.
• Ensure all payments are posted within departmental timeframes.
