Job summary

VENU+ is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle bank reconciliations, month-end close, and detailed journal entries. The role includes preparing revenue reports, maintaining fixed asset subledgers, and processing tax filings with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in receivables and reconciliations, an associate or bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills. This is a fast-paced team environment offering growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• 2+ years of experience in receivables and reconciliations.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Sage and Peachtree experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional attitude in all interactions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Superior time management and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and perform month-end close activities.
• Reconcile end-of-month GL balances and post journal entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries for fees and charges.
• Conduct cash sweeps and maintain accuracy of records.
• Prepare and distribute monthly revenue reports to customers.
• File and remit sales tax.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger.
• Reconcile and post corporate card program expenses.
• Prepare and issue commission reports.
• Support customer satisfaction through clear, professional communication.
• Assist Accounting Manager/Controller on other duties as assigned.
