Job summary

Theisen's Home-Farm-Auto is seeking a part-time Cash Office Administrative Assistant to support daily cashier and banking functions, and handle general administrative duties. You will assist the store manager and senior cashier as needed, with responsibilities ranging from opening procedures to paper filing and data entry.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years of cashier or retail experience, strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of cashier or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete store opening procedures including enabling and/or restarting terminals, printing reports, counting cash, and performing other opening functions on the computer.
• Daily money duties include collecting monies in the afternoon and counting cash, checks, change, and transactions and deposit money in bank.
• Fill out and file paperwork and accounting forms.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all current cash register functions and procedures.
• Assist cashier in problem solving as needed.
• Perform clerical functions for manager and handle petty cash.
• Run checkouts and customer service return desk.
• Maintain associate attendance data and record all associate exception hours and non-scheduled days.
