• Ability to learn phone handling, filing, ten-key and basic clerical tasks.
• Strong verbal communication and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at cashier lane and assist with purchases.
• Perform cash register functions accurately.
• Direct customers to merchandise or request help via radio.
• Answer questions in person or by phone within guidelines.
• Suggest add-on merchandise.
• Handle returns/exchanges and defective slips for credit.
• Process and follow up on special orders.
• Stock shelves and assist with stocking, pricing and tagging.
• Maintain a clean checkout area and overall store cleanliness.
• Assist with rainchecks and farm plan charges.
