Emergicon LLC in Terrell, TX is hiring a Cash Applications Specialist to ensure all client payments are posted accurately and timely. You will review remittance advice, resolve posting errors, and work with insurance payers to recoup funds.

This full-time role offers hands-on training in a supportive team, with potential for hybrid or remote work after 90 days. Strong attention to detail and familiarity with Excel are valued for daily data entry and reconciliation tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical payment posting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and good organization.
• Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Skill with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post manual and electronic payments to patient accounts.
• Review insurance remittance advice for accuracy.
• Spot overpayments, billing errors, and posting errors, then resolve them or flag them to your supervisor.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupments to find the right resolution.
• Flag trends or problems with specific payers.
• Work with the accounts receivable team to resolve remittance issues.
• Reconcile to the general ledger and support month-end close.
• Meet all daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
