Medix is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist in Houston, TX. This contract-to-hire role focuses on reviewing daily bank activity, classifying payments, and preparing data for posting by the revenue cycle team. Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote day.

You'll work with EOBs, bank reconciliation, and Excel to organize deposits and resolve discrepancies, with emphasis on accuracy and timely deposits.

Cash Applications Specialist - Houston, TX

Position Summary

The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for reviewing daily bank account activity and classifying all incoming transactions as insurance payments, patient payments, or non-collections. This role ensures that all payments are accurately identified, organized, and documented so they can be passed to the posting team for application in the revenue cycle system.

This role does not post payments. It focuses on reviewing, classifying, and preparing bank activity for downstream processing.

• Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
• Pay: $23–$25/hour (DOE)
• Interview: One-round interview + EOB assessment
• Start Date: Targeting early June

• Duration: Contract to hire, 800-hour contract

Required Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare collections or revenue cycle operations
