Targa Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our centralized AR team in Houston. You will post daily payments via wires, ACH, and checks, record receipts, and report on cash activity to support month-end close.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of SOX-controlled cash posting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service and timely responses to inquiries.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years experience in a SOX controlled cash applications environment.
• Capable of high-volume AR processing with audits and internal controls.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external inquiries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Aufgaben

• Post daily payments including wires, ACH credits, and checks to customer accounts.
• Obtain coding and accurately record miscellaneous cash receipts.
• Reconcile cash postings to bank deposits and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor the shared AR inbox and route/respond to requests timely.
• Process cleanup items such as offsets and write-offs.
• Review credits with Upstream and Downstream analysts.
• Respond to cash application inquiries from internal departments and external customers.
• Prepare and maintain cash application and exception status reports.
• Provide audit support as requested.
• Perform ad hoc projects as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
