Job summary

HomeTown Services is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Shared Service Center in Houston. You will handle high-volume cash applications, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of customer payments and financing transactions across business units.

You will work closely with field operations to finalize invoice batches and ensure timely application of receipts. The role requires strong attention to detail, ERP experience, and collaboration with finance teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience in high-volume cash posting.
• Proficient in ERP systems (ServiceTitan, Sage Intacct) and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply a high volume of daily customer payments to accounts and invoices.
• Process and reconcile financing transactions and apply third-party funding.
• Research remittance advice and resolve unapplied cash receipts.
• Coordinate with field staff to finalize invoice batches for cash application.
• Validate daily batch totals against bank deposits and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify short-payments or over-payments and route for investigation.
• Ensure cash postings are coded to correct GL accounts.
