Job summary

Macomb County Government seeks a Case Specialist to coordinate services for clients across emergency services, weatherization, food and housing programs. You will conduct intake assessments and screen eligibility, documenting case details and following up to promote self-sufficiency.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in human services. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field is required.
• 1 year of experience in human services with poverty populations.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for clients by conducting intake assessments and determining program eligibility.
• Provide case management and follow-up to promote self-sufficiency.
• Advocate with partner agencies and community organizations on behalf of clients.
• Maintain accurate electronic and/or paper files and respond to inquiries.
