Job summary

Macomb County is seeking a Case Specialist to coordinate services for clients, conducting intake assessments and eligibility interviews across multiple programs. The role supports emergency services, weatherization, housing stability and utility assistance, among others.

Responsibilities include processing applications, maintaining files, and advocating with partner agencies to help clients achieve self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business or related field required.
• One year of experience in human services with poverty-impacted populations preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and insured vehicle for travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for clients by intake assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Provide case management and follow-up to promote self-sufficiency.
• Advocate with community organizations, service providers and agencies.
• Maintain accurate electronic and paper files and respond to inquiries.
