Compass Family Services is seeking a Case Manager for Compass Childcare Support Services in San Francisco. You will assist homeless families with accessing subsidized childcare for children aged 0-5, pairing them with suitable childcare options, and supporting enrollment.

The role emphasizes bilingual Spanish/English communication, crisis de-escalation, and coordinating with families and providers to ensure stable care and employment or education progress.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish and English preferred.
• Experience working with homeless or low-income families.
• Ability to assess and de-escalate crises quickly.
• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills; build trust with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Screen families for eligibility for subsidized childcare options (SF).
• Meet with families to assess childcare preferences and site match.
• Assist families in enrolling and addressing barriers (transportation, language access).
• Regularly check in with clients in subsidized care; support child thriving.
• Address communication challenges between families and childcare providers.
• Help families set employment or educational goals and connect with resources.
