Job summary

JBA International, a plaintiff litigation law firm located in downtown Los Angeles, seeks a motivated Spanish-speaking case manager with workers' compensation experience to support a dynamic team of attorneys.

You will assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines and billing, draft legal documents, conduct research, and organize case files in compliance with firm policies.

Qualifications

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines and billing.
• Minimum education: high school diploma; AA or paralegal certification acceptable; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in case management within personal injury or related legal roles.
• Experience drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and case management software.
• Organize and maintain all case files in accordance with firm policies.
• Conduct legal research to obtain documentation on health insurance, Social Security, medical records.
• Draft legal documents for attorney review and ensure adherence to legal requirements.

Responsibilities

A Plaintiff litigation law firm is looking for a motivated Spanish-speaking case manager with workers compensation experience, to help support a dynamic team of attorneys. The ten-lawyer firm, located in downtown Los Angeles, represents plaintiffs in employment, worker's compensation, and personal injury matters. Must be able to read, write and comprehend spanish.

• Assist attorneys with all aspects of case management, including docketing deadlines, billing, and providing reminders as necessary
• High school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Previous case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm, non-profit, or human services agency
• Experience drafting legal documents and conducting legal research is vital
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software
• Organize and maintain all case files, and information concerning engagement, whether electronic or paper, in accordance with the law firm policies
• Conduct legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, social security, medical records, and medical providers
• Draft legal documents for attorney review
• Review legal documents to ensure adherence to all legal requirements
