Job summary

The Alden Network in Chicago is seeking a qualified professional to coordinate and monitor Active Treatment Programs for a caseload of individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with IDT, documenting IPP goals, providing hands-on guidance to staff, and maintaining a warm, supportive environment while advancing resident care and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Education, etc.).
• At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Must possess CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors, staff, and agencies.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff follow policies and procedures; use disciplinary processes as needed.
• Assist in developing written care plans identifying Active Treatment needs.
• Attend and participate in IDT conferences.
• Report concerns from residents or families to supervisors.
• Review daily logs and 24-hour report with Nursing leadership to improve services.
