Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 1 year in customer service/IT inquiries acceptable.
  • High school diploma plus 2 years experience acceptable.
  • Combination of education and experience allowed; NYC experience may substitute.
  • For Assignment Level III, two additional years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephone and gather vital information from law enforcement, medical facilities, funeral homes, hospitals and the public.
  • Enter data into OCME's Case Intake database.
  • Notify Medicolegal Investigators of assigned cases and pertinent information.
  • Provide relevant information to Medical Examiner Transport Team for case recovery.
  • Support high profile and emergency operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
