Job summary

Flock Freight, a FreightTech leader, seeks a Carrier Sales Associate in the Chicago area to manage end-to-end carrier relationships, onboarding, and ongoing engagement. You will leverage data and negotiating skills to maximize platform utilization and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and own carrier coverage, ensuring on-time shipments and strong performance metrics while contributing to a modernized freight ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident decision-making with good problem-solving instincts.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a book of carrier partners via outbound calls, emails, and outreach.
• Own daily freight execution, ensuring shipments are covered, serviced, and tracked.
• Develop trusted carrier relationships to drive platform adoption and engagement.
• Apply tactical sales and negotiation skills to optimize carrier utilization and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Tracking, and Operations to deliver a high-quality experience.
• Maintain accurate carrier and capacity data in systems for real-time coverage.
• Monitor shipments and performance metrics to identify issues and opportunities.
• Hit or exceed activity, coverage, and revenue targets set by leadership.
• Leverage the platform to create differentiated value for partners.
