FitzMark is seeking a results-driven carrier sales professional in Buffalo, NY. You will track freight, coordinate carrier capacity, and quote rates to keep shipments moving efficiently while building carrier relationships.

The role emphasizes phone-based business development and independent work in a fast-paced logistics team. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred, with training provided and strong earning potential through commissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred to be competitive.
• Experience conducting business over the phone is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track all freight in transit to ensure on-time delivery in your territory.
• Input tracking updates into the Transportation Management System from pickup to successful delivery.
• Independently coordinate available carriers with customer freight.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers while expanding your carrier base through sourcing.
• Negotiate and quote rates with carriers in a cost-effective manner that benefits all parties.
• Keep up to date in seasonal market trends.
• Utilize software tools to negotiate and log market rates.
• Communicate with carriers and internal departments with urgency to coordinate pickups, deliveries, updates and issue resolution.
• Create carrier leads through warm and cold calls.
