ROAR Logistics, Inc. in Fredonia, NY, is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative with 2+ years in the 3PL industry to source qualified carriers, maximize margins, and foster strong carrier relationships in a fast-paced environment.

You will build and maintain a robust carrier network, analyze market trends, negotiate competitive rates, proactively contact carriers, and ensure data integrity in the Transportation Management System, while complying with ROAR’s procedures and delivering reliable

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics preferred.
• 1 year of experience in logistics operations.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multitasking and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure qualified carriers for timely freight transportation, maximizing margins and minimizing risks.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of carriers to support ROAR's customer base and pre-plan carrier equipment usage for optimal efficiency.
• Analyze market trends, load history, and industry publications to make informed buying decisions and negotiate competitive rates with carrier partners.
• Proactively reach out to carriers through outbound calls and other channels to capture truckload capacity and expand fleet usage.
• Collect and update carriers' daily and weekly capacity/availability data into our Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Ensure compliance with ROAR's carrier setup and compliance procedures and guidelines.
• Dispatch drivers with attention to detail, inputting all pertinent driver and shipment details into the TMS system and providing ongoing communication and updates until completion.
• Act as a problem-solver and solutions-provider, addressing issues promptly and effectively for customers, carriers, and internal associates.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the ROAR Management team.
