Job summary

ROAR Logistics, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Carrier Sales Representative to join our team in Buffalo, NY.

With at least 2 years in the 3PL industry, you will source qualified carriers, negotiate rates, and build a robust carrier network to support on-time freight transportation and margin optimization. Responsibilities include outbound carrier outreach, updating capacity data in our TMS, ensuring compliance with carrier setup, and coordinating shipments with proactive communication until delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Logistics or 1–2 years of experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in logistics operations.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Email System.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure qualified carriers for timely freight transportation, maximizing margins and minimizing risks.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of carriers to support ROAR's customer base.
• Analyze market trends and load history to negotiate competitive rates with carriers.
• Outreach to carriers via outbound calls and other channels to capture capacity.
• Update carriers' capacity/availability data into the TMS.
• Ensure compliance with carrier setup and guidelines.
• Dispatch drivers and input shipment details into the TMS with ongoing updates.
• Address issues promptly as a problem-solver and solutions-provider.
