Job summary

Express Logistics, a Des Moines, IA-based 3PL broker, is seeking an Enterprise Sales Rep to recruit high-volume shippers and grow the carrier network. You will build long-term partnerships, understand supply chain challenges, and shape the company’s growth.

You’ll negotiate competitive rates, manage inquiries to delivery, and collaborate with Account Managers to optimize logistics solutions for customers. Strong negotiation and communication are essential in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch or freight brokerage operations.
• Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop or similar load boards and carrier vetting tools.

Responsibilities

• Source and secure carrier capacity for truckload loads using load boards, carrier databases and your own network.
• Negotiate competitive rates while protecting margin.
• Vet and onboard carriers, confirming authority, insurance and safety ratings meet our standards.
• Dispatch loads and track them from pickup to delivery, updating customers and Account Managers along the way.
• Solve problems as they happen: breakdowns, delays, missed appointments and detention.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable carriers and dispatchers.

As a Des Moines, IA based third-party logistics (3PL) broker specializing in truckload (TL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping, we connect businesses with a trusted network of carriers and manage every detail from pickup to delivery, combining the capacity of a national network with the responsiveness of a team that knows our customers by name.

We’re growing, and we’re hiring an Enterprise Sales Rep to help lead that growth. In this role, you’ll build relationships with high-volume shippers, understand their supply chain challenges, and turn them into long-term partners. Your success will directly shape where Express Logistics goes next.

Day in The Life

• Source and secure carrier capacity for truckload loads using load boards, carrier databases and your own network.
• Negotiate competitive rates while protecting margin.
• Vet and onboard carriers, confirming authority, insurance and safety ratings meet our standards.
• Dispatch loads and track them from pickup to delivery, updating customers and Account Managers along the way.
• Solve problems as they happen: breakdowns, delays, missed appointments and detention.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable carriers and dispatchers.
• Watch for fraud and double-brokering red flags.
• Keep load details, rates and check calls accurate in our TMS.
• The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned.

Requirements

Education/Work Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch or freight brokerage operations.
• Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop or similar load boards and carrier vetting tools.
