NATIONAL RETAIL TRANSPORTATION is seeking a Carrier Representative in Toledo, OH, to ensure assigned freight is executed and to build lasting carrier relationships while maintaining a high level of customer service. Reports to the Operations Manager.

You will identify carriers, negotiate rates, and oversee daily load activities to ensure on-time pickup and delivery. The role requires strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Truck brokerage knowledge preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency; able to work in a fast-paced work environment with quickly changing priorities.
• Works proactively and independently, with the ability to take initiative.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
• Willingness to learn new information and apply knowledge to job responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Identify carriers for available freight and negotiate competitive rates.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships.
• Answer inbound and make outbound calls to ensure outstanding customer service.
• Drive operational excellence to both customer and carriers.
• Manage daily load activities, resolving issues to ensure on time pick-up and delivery
• Proactively resolve problems that may arise while a load is in transit.
• Creative thinker who enjoys a competitive, team-based atmosphere.
• Grow business with current carriers in alignment with account growth strategy plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
