Job summary

Mission Technologies in San Diego, CA, seeks a senior skilled trades technician to support U.S. Navy elevator systems on aircraft carriers.

You will perform installation, maintenance and testing of mechanical/hydraulic systems in an industrial/shipboard setting, with travel as required. The role requires high school or trade schooling with 8 years of navy elevator experience, ability to read drawings, troubleshoot, and obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School or equivalent with 8 years of related navy elevator systems experience.
• Experience with System Operability Test (SOT) III process.
• Ability to read mechanical/hydraulic drawings and schematics.
• Experience conducting on-site installation of equipment following safety and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify shipboard elevator and related equipment.
• Work closely with supervisors and other trades.
• Train/assist Navy personnel and other employees on shipboard systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with customers and management; prepare reports and briefs.
