Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) seeks a Manager of Carrier Development to manage the life cycle of a carrier—from vetting and onboarding to rate negotiation, contracting and awarding, and performance review. The role reports to the Sr. Director of Carrier Management.

You will identify optimal carriers, negotiate rates to meet business needs, and engage in outreach to build relationships. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure capacity and maintain compliance with KAG's standards, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or related field.
• Strong critical thinking and organization are required.
• 5 years of progressive transportation/logistics experience preferred.

Job description

Position Summary

The Manager of Carrier Development is responsible for the life cycle of a carrier. Including, but not limited to vetting and onboarding, rate negotiation, contracting and awarding, and performance review. The Manager of Carrier Development reports to the SR. Director of Carrier Management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Overall accountability for the compliance of all carriers to KAGL's standards.
• Manage carrier resources; monitor carrier performance
• Maintain & perform carrier audits of rates and performance.
• Coach, mentor, and develop talent within the group

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in logistics, transportation, or related experience
• Critical Thinking Skills
• Effective Multi-tasking
• 5 years of progressive transportation/logistics experience (Bulk preferred)
